The Gaelic Otherworld is seen as closer at the times of dusk and dawn - this being a special time to the Aos sí, as are festivals such as Samhain, Bealtaine and Midsummer.
Folk-tales tell stories about mortals who entered to the world of Sidhe by passing through standing stones, Fairy hills, Magical trees, often in the night or at dusk or dawn of Samhain or Midsummer. Entrances to the Otherworld are hidden and veiled and often hard to find, but for those who are willing and open-minded,
these magical portals may present themselves, luring and inviting with their captivating light.

The close of day is called Sia - twilight time when Daoine Sidhe are most frequently seen.
It is also a special time, when portals to Sidhe world may sometimes be opened for a short time.
