"The Hunt"

...a bit of Welsh folklore in this fun little painting project

"They travel through the air, in storms, with wind, great Phantoms of Annwn."
They are the Wild Hunt, and the Hunt is known by many names ; the Raging Host, the Wild Ride, Thunderous Ones, the Dark Host, the Unseelie riders... They are led by the Bright one, with a darkened face, the great Lord of the Hidden Ones, of the Plant Annwn, and his are great beasts of the Underworld.
Gwyn they call him, the White one, the Blessed one, son of Nudd, the One with a blackened face, the great leader of the Wild Hunt.
Gwyn ap Nudd, of the blackened face, He who leads the Dark Host, the hidden beasts, the Wild Hunt.
