In Celtic legends we often encounter Otherworld travellers : sometimes these travellers are humans, travelling to other dimesions and sometimes they are otherworld beings passing to human world. The Gaelic Otherworld is seen as closer at the times of dusk and dawn, therefore this is a special time to the aos sí, as are some festivals such as Samhain, Beltane and Midsummer. Old folk tales tell stories about mortals who entered to the world of Sidhe passing through standing stones, often int he night or at dawn of Samhain or Midsummer.
